Jayne has over a decade of experience as a Veterinary Technician, and grew up surrounded by a menagerie of animals, including cats, dogs, parrots, fish, crabs, a turtle, and a bearded dragon. She knew as a child that she wanted to work in veterinary medicine, and scrubbed into her first surgery at only 11 years old, at a local vet clinic she volunteered at. Jayne truly loves all animals, and spent the first five years of her Veterinary career working with exotics – primarily birds, reptiles, and rabbits, but also pets as diverse as spiders and lemurs!
Jayne’s favourite part of being a Veterinary Technician is working with our clients – building a relationship with them and their pets, and watching their pets grow and flourish over the years. She also finds dentistry particularly rewarding, because she has seen it completely transform so many animals’ quality of life.
Jayne adores chihuahuas and shares her home with two: MJ and Waffles. When she isn’t here at the clinic, Jayne is studying to be a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and in her little remaining spare time, also enjoys yoga, running, cooking, and documentary film festivals.
